Dark Chocolate Fondue – Low-Carb, Keto, Gluten-Free, Sugar-Free
This 5 ingredient fondue will be the center piece at your next gathering. And don't worry if you avoid alcohol, there is an alcohol free version of this recipe as well.
This is a quick and simple no tricks recipe. One thing though – you need to remove the sauce pan from the heat as soon as the liquid starts to bubble. Also keep a close eye on it when heating because this mixture is quick to bubble up and overflow the pot.

Bourbon Dark Chocolate Fondue
- 1 bar (3.5 oz = 100 g) KZ Clean Eating Dark Chocolate Or other dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup = 120 ml heavy cream OR coconut milk
- 2 tablespoons bourbon
- 10-20 drops vanilla stevia
- pinch unrefined sea salt OR Himalayan salt
Instructions
- Pour the cream (or coconut milk) into a small heavy-bottomed saucepan.
- Heat over medium heat, until the cream is so hot that a couple of bubbles form (but don’t let it reach a full boil).
- Remove from the heat and add the chocolate. Mix until all the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Add the bourbon and the vanilla stevia and mix again until smooth.
- Pour the hot mixture into a fondue pot. Keep warm over a low heat.
- Dip your favorite keto treats, like berries, cake, or muffins into the dip and enjoy!

To make this fondue alcohol-free, you can replace the bourbon with rum flavoring or your favorite natural flavoring or extract. Vanilla extract, raspberry flavoring, cherry flavoring, or a couple of drops 100% orange essential oil are all worth trying.
Warm spices go well with this wintertime treat, too. Try, for example, Ceylon cinnamon or gingerbread spice. And there’s nothing stopping you from adding instant coffee granules for a luscious mocha flavor: The instant coffee granules are best added to the heavy cream (or coconut milk) during heating so that they will dissolve beautifully.
