Eat Smarter And Get Healthier
I found this post on Ketogenic Girls Facebook page and it just made so much sense to me.
Optimizing for the highest nutrient density possible in a meal generates food peace in my body. I struggled for many years with food fixation which I believe occurs as a side effect of a high carb no fat diet (which I was on most of my life). My body was so depleted of nutrients from the essential fatty acids, amino acids, minerals and vitamins that it needed that I was constantly thinking about food.
A Keto lifestyle allows me to base my plate around maximizing nutrient density without compromising variety- which is why I love Cobb style salads especially like this plate!
Just look at that dish above. Look's to me like a top chef at a fancy restaurant made it. And look at all that healthy keto food! Rows of heavy metal chelating cilantro, vitamin and potassium rich avocado, cucumbers, omega-3 rich salmon, bacon fat grilled shrimp, uncured bacon and a sliced smoked paprika sausage on a bed of the kale leafy green mix. And I'm sure when you make a similar dish you can make a dish even more nutritious when you add your favorite foods and spices.
Delicious and nutritious, my body is satisfied and freed up to focus on living rather than what I will next be eating! One of the many benefits that I have gained from this way of living!
Now that's a testimonial for the keto way of eating.
If you would like to discover more about the keto way of eating and as a side benefit – how you can maintain a healthy weight, Bill has a special offer on his book “Body Reboot”. The book is FREE ($29.00 value) right now all you have to pay is the shipping. It's a great book. It's the system I've been following to loose 40 pounds so far and to improve my health considerably.
